Air Freight Clerk / Assistant to the Branch Manager (m/f/d) - Cologne location
Job description
As a medium-sized, internationally networked freight forwarder, we have been a competent partner for our customers since 1971. With 90 employees at 3 locations, we generate 40 million euros in turnover, primarily in the areas of sea and air freight.
At our location in Cologne near the airport with 6 employees we are looking for as of now a motivated employee (m/f/d) to support the branch manager and the airfreight handling department.
Your tasks
- Communication with customers and partners worldwide
- Calculation of air freight quotations and offer preparation in German and English
- Processing of air freight orders in import and export on behalf of the dispatchers
- Recording the data in our Cargosoft handling software
- Cooperation with entrepreneurs and airlines
- Billing of shipments
- Processing of complaints
What sets you apart
- Completed training as a forwarding and logistics services clerk (m/f/d) or commercial training with professional experience in shipping or distribution
- First professional experience in the field of air freight import
- High customer orientation and ability to work in a team
- Written and spoken English
- IT skills in MS Office and ATLAS system
