With a successful successful customs declaration you are entitled to have your goods transferred through a customs procedure. Customs declarations are generally submitted electronically. Only in exceptional cases can these be given in writing, orally or through an action.In addition, a distinction is made between

  • a standard customs declaration and
  • a simplified customs declaration.

The electronic submission is carried out using the IT process ATLAS and must contain specific data elements according to the standard data record. The written registration, on the other hand, must be completed according to the so-called standard document. From January 1, 2021, all customs declarations according to theUnion Customs Code must be submitted electronically.

Export Declaration

You can submit your customs declaration during the opening hours of your local customs office. This decides whether to accept or not accept. Reasons for non-acceptance can be:

  • Existing bans and restrictions on the movement of goods
  • Incomplete information
  • Lack of prerequisites
  • Lack of jurisdiction of the customs office
